Blue Vista itself is a family “heirloom”. A family business that year after year is booming, proving that it is as powerful as its owners’ family bonds. It all started when Kostara couple, initially as tour guides, visited the island. But it didn’t take long to understand that they would spend the rest of their lives there, that it was the place where they would bring up their own family and try to carry, through the tours, their love for the island to all visitors. What is today known to all people in Patmos as Margarita and Sofia apartments and villas, was initially destined to house the family itself, their relatives, and friends.
Nevertheless, this hospitality didn’t take long to expand, when the tour guides’ two children, Iris and Sofia “inherited” their parents’ love for hospitality and Patmos and they decided to make a business out of it. With studies in tourism and business administration, they haven’t stopped getting continuous formation attending seminars and postgraduate programs on touristic business administration and management.
Once they filled their resume with working experience in other tourism-related businesses throughout Greece, they used this knowledge, experience, and love for the progress of their own business. The outcome of this effort is the dream of Blue Vista Patmos which has managed to conquer all guests’ hearts, in such a level that they don’t even think of spending their vacations at a different hotel.
Iris and Sofia Kostara have accomplished, within a few years, to upgrade tourism in Patmos as well as the options that the island bears; enhance the island where they had lived their most precious memories, with premium and high standard accommodation options, apartments, and villas.
